PAR-414 Waterproof Quantum PAR (photosynthesis activating radiation) Meter - photosynthesis light measurement (for LED / HPS / MH)

This Full Spectrum Quantum Meter is designed with a waterproof sensor and extension pole, making it ideal for measuring the flux of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) within the wavelength range of 400 to 700 nanometers (nm). PAR represents the critical spectrum of light necessary to initiate photosynthesis in plants.

Plants contain pigments called chlorophylls, which capture photons within specific wavelengths. These photons provide the essential energy for photosynthesis, the process by which plants convert light energy into chemical energy, which is crucial for their growth and development.

Using a Quantum Meter to measure PAR flux enables researchers and horticulturists to accurately assess the intensity of light that facilitates photosynthesis. This data is needed in horticultural research and plant physiology monitoring, as it helps optimize growth conditions, maximize photosynthetic efficiency, and evaluate overall plant health and productivity.
