Plant characteristics Annual plant approx. 50 cm high with raised shoots ending with umbellate inflorescences. In late summer, the plants produce seeds which are harvested when the ants turn brown. Dried seeds with a characteristic aroma are used to bake cakes and make alcoholic beverages. Tea or an infusion of seeds is an effective solution to cough and stomach ailments. Anise fruit is used in the production of cough syrups, as a relaxant, diuretic and carminative, also stimulating lactation in women. Sowing Plants: Seeds view in March-April, directly into the ground in rows every 30 cm. The emergence takes place within 2 weeks. After emergence, the plants are placed in rows every 5-6 cm. They grow best in fertile soil in a sunny and sheltered place.
