The history of the Plagron brand of Dutch nutrients

The history of the Plagron company begins in 1992, when in a certain place in the Netherlands it was decided to set up a small worm farm. Earthworms are primarily used to produce organic fertilizer, like biohumus. A year later, the first soil mixture was created, and the next year, in 1994,it was available in the stores. Over the next years, the company was constantly developing (Plagron fertilizers were already known throughout the Netherlands), later in 1997 it begans to grow into one of the main players on the international market. At that time, the company have offered already various types of substrates, basic nutrients and other additives for growing plants. Over time, the interest in the products was constantly growing, so additional space was needed. In 1999 and the entire company was moved to Ospel in the province of Limburg (Netherlands), where it is still located today.
